It’s beach season once again, and the extreme temperature rise calls out for a higher dose of Vitamin Sea! Luckily, we Cebuanos are just an hour away from the historic resort island of Mactan and can easily take pleasure in bathing in the clear turqouise, saliferous water of the island’s beaches.
My summer was dawned with a birthday recluse at the Crimson Resort and Spa Cebu. And yes, you read it right – I welcomed my birthday in a beautiful pool villa -ALONE. Some might assume it was a sad natal day welcome, but it was actually real invigorating. I was even able to come up with a list of “11 Fun Things to Do when on a Solo Retreat” which I shared on a previous post, an actual series of activities that made my “me time” worthwhile.
But hey, who would even complain spending a day alone when you are in paradise, right? Okay, not really alone, but with other resort guests. Well, you know what I mean. 😛
Aside from carrying out the activities-for-one which I recounted on the previous post, I went swimming for hours- it would be a mortal sin not to go wading in the pool and the beach when staycationing at Crimson Resort and Spa. And I wore basic and easy summer pieces that can quickly make me jump out of the pool, then go for a swim at the beach – and vice versa. An ensemble that quickly dries up after swimming so I don’t feel uncomfortably damp when grabbing lunch or snacks at any of the resort’s dining outlets. 😉
How about you, how’d you spent your first day of summer? What’re your favorite swim pieces? 🙂
