I published a blog yesterday about my 50-hour adventure in Taipei and today I am posting a supposedly-style-post-turned-bad-hair-day-story from that trip. hahaha. I left my pomade, okay. Hence the obvious unruly, wavy hair. And the windy 18-22 degrees Celcius winter weather made it even more frizzy and dry. So yeah! Amsareh.
Today, I am sharing two looks that I wore during my Taipei trip last November which were inspired by (1) Kawatan sa Iskina, and (2) Luke Skywalker on Social Recluse.
(1) Kawatan sa Iskina Look
I pretty much think I aced this look. From the signature denim jacket, tattered pants and shades. I tweaked the look a little bit by updating the ensemble with a salmon-colored short sleeved shirt, instead of the classic white shirt. And the unruly hair totally fit the guise. haha
Wait, you might be asking “Ingana diay mananinaang kawatan sa iskina ?” Well, I haven’t seen a real one, but it’s in reference to the “kawatans” and gangsters in tagalog movies who are often characterized wearing the denim jacket, white shirt, tattered pants and shades ensemble. Teehee!
(2) Luke Skywalker on Social Recluse
If you’ve seen Starwars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, then you’d be familiar with this dramatic scene from the movie. The moment Rey found one of the greatest jedis who’s in hiding – Luke Skywalker. Well, to make it a bit current, I wore an olive shirt under, patched denim jeans and a pair of white knitted Nikes. The force is strong with this one.

Do you think I pulled it off on both looks? Haha! How about you, do you think you can score a YAY! on each of the looks I mentioned? Reply by a commenting below. 😉
